My name is Kalvin Aquiar, a photographer from New Bedford, Massachusetts, and a proud U.S. Army Infantry veteran. I served for six years, and that experience shaped the way I approach everything I do, with discipline, focus, and attention to detail.

I’m also a father to my son, Kai’Syn, who is my biggest motivation. Fatherhood gave me a deeper appreciation for time and memories, and that perspective carries into every session I shoot.

Photography started as a way for me to cope with PTSD and depression after my time in the Army. It gave me peace and helped me reconnect with life in a different way. Over time, it became more than just an outlet, it became my purpose.

Today, I use photography to help people capture real moments and feel confident in who they are. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where you can be yourself, because that’s when the most genuine and powerful images happen.
